Captains of St. John’s 300 Club of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield, have announced that the 26th week and final drawings for this session of the Club will be held on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in the church center, 701 Hill St. and can be watched live via St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral Mayfield, PA on Facebook or on St. John’s website via Livestream. Queen of Angels Parish in Jessup will be conducting their Annual Novena in Honor of St. Therese of the Little Flower beginning Sept. 22 and concluding Oct. 1. Weekday Masses are at 5:30 p.m. Saturday Mass is at 4 p.m. and Sunday, 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Each day will include the novena prayers and a blessing with the St. Therese relic. The Bread Basket of NEPA operates two food pantries in the area. The Jessup pantry is open from 3 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday at St. Michael’s Church, 316 First Ave. The Archbald pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday at Christ the King Parish, 411 Church St. Clients can visit the pantry once a month; they should bring identification.
